Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Thane, focused on supporting finance operations for construction industry projects. The Accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts.

The role involves preparing and reviewing invoices, monitoring project-wise expenses, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate cost allocation to construction projects. The individual will assist in preparing financial statements, MIS reports, and budgets, while ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations and company policies. The Accountant will collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and senior leadership to provide timely financial insights and support audits and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

- Robust accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.




- Experience with construction or project-based accounting, cost allocation, and tracking of project expenses and revenue.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems) and MS Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Working knowledge of taxation, GST, TDS, and basic regulatory compliance relevant to the construction industry.
- Ability to prepare financial statements, MIS reports, budgets, and support internal and external audits.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with project, procurement, and management teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an accountant in the construction or infrastructure sector is highly beneficial.
