We are looking for a passionate Java Backend Developer Intern who is eager to build scalable backend applications using Spring Boot. This internship is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have a strong foundation in Java and want to gain real-world experience by working on live enterprise applications.
You will work closely with experienced developers to design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services while following industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and effective code.
- Integrate backend services with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
- Write unit tests and assist in application testing.
- Work with Git for version control and team collaboration.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and QA teams for feature implementation.
- Learn and adopt software engineering best practices.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Core Java (Java 17 or above preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
- Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods.
- Knowledge of Spring Data JPA or MyBatis.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle.
- Knowledge of Git and GitHub.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Spring Security and JWT authentication.
- Basic understanding of Docker.
- Exposure to Microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
- Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.
Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech (Computer Science, IT, Electronics), MCA, M.Sc. (Computer Science), BCA, or equivalent.
- Freshers with strong Java and Spring Boot knowledge are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with up to 1 year of experience in Java backend development may also apply.
- Must have hands-on experience developing Spring Boot applications through academic projects, internships, or personal projects.
