A senior freight broker serves as a communication between shippers and carriers to secure the transportation of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Generating leads and attracting new prospects, and developing a sales pipeline.
- Identifying and selecting reputable and safe carriers for freight services.
- Providing customers with shipping quotes.
- Booking orders with carriers.
- Collaborating with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to manage scheduled collections and drop-offs.
- Maintaining current knowledge of market trends in the transportation marketplace.
Qualifications:
- Experience in US Logistics / Freight Brokerage / Trucking Industry may apply.
- Min. 1 year experience as freight broker
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Outstanding people skills.
- Proficient negotiating skills.
- This is a sales job that requires you to have solid operational skills, we are looking to hire people who want to grow professionally & personally as well.
