Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and people-first Career Counsellor – Design Education to join our Hyderabad team. In this role, you will be the guiding voice for aspiring designers — helping them navigate their career choices, discover the right program, and take a confident first step toward a future in design. Beyond counselling, you will also champion Designerrs Academy's growth by building institutional partnerships and driving outreach across the city.

Key ResponsibilitiesCareer Counselling

- Be the first point of contact for prospective learners via calls, WhatsApp, email, and walk-ins — listen deeply, understand their background and goals, and guide them to the most suitable program.
- Conduct one-on-one career counselling sessions that genuinely help students make confident, informed decisions about their design education journey.
- Walk students through the full admissions process — course curriculum, batch schedules, fee structure, and scholarship options — with clarity and empathy.
- Nurture warm and cold leads with consistent follow-ups, maintaining a healthy pipeline and achieving monthly enrollment targets.




- Resolve student queries and concerns with confidence; loop in faculty when academic depth is needed.
- Keep CRM records updated and accurate; share regular reports on lead status and conversion performance.

Outreach & Growth

- Build and nurture B2B partnerships with colleges, corporates, placement agencies, and design communities to expand institutional enrollments and brand presence.
- Drive college and school outreach in Hyderabad — visit campuses, host talks, and introduce Designerrs Academy's programs to fresh audiences.
- Co-create and execute local engagement initiatives — seminars, open days, webinars, and career workshops — alongside the marketing team.
- Identify corporate upskilling opportunities and manage proposals end-to-end for team or batch enrollments.
- Stay attuned to market trends, student demand signals, and competitor activity; share insights that help the team make sharper decisions.
- Represent Designerrs Academy at career fairs, design meetups, and community events across Hyderabad.

What We're Looking For: Must-Have Skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Telugu and/or English is a strong advantage.
- Proven experience in career counselling, academic advising, edtech admissions, or student outreach roles.
- Natural ability to build rapport, listen actively, and guide people through important decisions.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting enrollment or outreach targets.
- Comfortable with CRM tools, Google Workspace, and WhatsApp Business for lead and pipeline management.




- Ability to multi-task and stay composed in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

Good to Have

- Prior experience in an edtech company or design/creative education institution.
- Basic understanding of design fields (UI/UX, Product Design, Graphic Design) and career pathways.
- Experience in organizing or coordinating student-facing events and outreach programs.
- Network within Hyderabad's design, tech, or student community.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Psychology, Education, Business, Marketing, or Design preferred).
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in career counselling, edtech admissions, or student outreach.
- Freshers with outstanding communication skills and a genuine passion for guiding students may be considered.

Work Schedule & Location

- Work Mode: Hybrid
- Location: Hyderabad, Telangana
- Working Days: Tuesday to Sunday (Thursday WFH)
- 5 days from office, 1 day from home (Monday & every 2nd Thursday Off)
