The candidate should have Practical experience of

- OpAmp and its applications,

- DC-DC converter and LDOs, Thermal Calculations and Heatsink selection

- Relays and its applications,

- Diodes, MOSFETs, BJTs, Optocouplers and their applications

- Protection devices like MOV and TVS,

- Microcontroller and its pin mapping,

- Communication protocols – CAN, SPI, I2C, Parallel, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, USB

- SMPS and PCB guidelines,

1. EMI/EMC – Testing and design

Job Description

The candidate should see the product through different stages of the

product development as listed below drafting the specifications as per the requirements: planning the design architecture, designing circuits, making schematics, selection of components, preparation of BOM, procurement of components, review of PCB design, board bring up, testing and Validation of design, preparation of jigs for validation,



trouble shooting at final product level, EMI/EMC compliance

and documentation of each process.

1. Designing and implementing low-power analog (op-amps, filters, power, BJTs, FETs) and digital circuits (logic, µC, memories)

2. Perform circuit tolerance analysis using Excel, Spice based Monte-Carlo analysis, TINA or equivalent tools

3. Hazardous location compliant design: Select electronic components, design and build the PCB in compliance with various railway standards (IEC, EN, UL, CE) for Intrinsic safety, Functional Safety and EMI/EMC standards

4. Analyze designs and modify them for EOL, manufacturing, or customer issues.

5. Bring up boards and develop and execute low-level hardware test to assure design works as per target specs

6. Debug boards using various test equipment such oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers etc

7. Generating test plans and test reports for electrical and environmental tests

8. Assist with the fabrication, including procurement and build process, and test of prototype hardware

9. Perform and/or oversee design verification tests
