Job Description

- Design Engineer – Structural Steel

Design & Engineering

- Perform detailed structural analysis and design of steel structures for metro rail systems.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for steel components.
- Design steel frameworks for stations, canopies, footbridges, and support structures.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (IRC, IRS, IS, AISC, AASHTO, Eurocode and international standards.)
- Perform seismic and wind load analysis for steel structures in urban environments.

Project Coordination

- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams for integrated structural solutions.
- Provide technical support during construction phase.





Quality & Compliance

- Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and durability requirements for public infrastructure.
- Ensure designs consider maintainability and lifecycle costs.
- Prepare technical documentation and compliance reports.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in structural analysis software (MIDAS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar)
- Solid knowledge of steel design software
- Experience with BIM software (Revit, Tekla Structures)

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary coordination
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Experience
