1. Checking that the theatre has been cleaned.

2. Confirm that lights, suction and diathermy equipment are in working order.

3. Ensure that the -------- trolley is prepared and kept ready.

4. Collecting the necessary equipment and stock e.g. swabs, specimen jars, sterile water --------------------------------.

5. Keeping ready sterilized gowns and gloves.

6. ----------- in gowning surgeons / nurses.

7. Open instrument packs, bowl packs and other equipment for the scrubbed assistant.

8. Assist with count counts and records.

9. Assist the -------- in giving ------- as needed.

During the operation

10. Be present in the theatre throughout the surgery -----------

11. Connect diathermy and suction leads

12. Place swab collecting bowl conveniently for the scrubbed assistant.

13. Anticipating the requirement of the team.

14. Replenish and record swabs and mops count as used.

15.



Ensure that all the doors of the theatre remain closed.

16. Prepare the surgical wound for dressing [adhesives, gauze ------------------ etc.]

After the operation

17. Hand over the dressing to the scrub nurse.

18. Help with the removal of the drapes.

19. Help with the preparation of the patient for Intubation.

20. Remove the instrument trolley and other equipment to the side of the O.T.

21. Assist in shifting the patient safely to the recovery room and hand over to the recovery nurse.

22. Ensure that the theatre is cleaned and prepared for the next operation.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
