Our work spans STEM education, coding, robotics, sustainability, media, leadership, arts, enrichment, and experiential learning. We are expanding our regional capabilities and are looking for talented education professionals in India to support our Singapore operations, particularly in STEM programme development and delivery support.
About the Role
We are looking for a STEM Education Programme Manager based in India to support our Singapore team in developing, managing, and improving STEM education programmes for primary and secondary school students.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys combining education, STEM content development, project coordination, trainer support, and programme innovation. The selected candidate will work closely with our Singapore-based Innovation Team and support the development of training materials, lesson plans, programme outlines, student resources, trainer guides, and assessment tools.
The initial focus of the role will be on supporting the development and management of programmes related to STEM Racing, coding, robotics, engineering, design thinking, and applied STEM learning.
About STEM Racing (A licensed programme conducted in Singapore)
STEM Racing is an international STEM competition where students design, engineer, test, and race miniature model cars using principles of aerodynamics, CAD/CAM, engineering design, branding, project management, and teamwork.
The programme introduces students to real-world STEM applications and helps them develop skills in engineering, innovation, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities
1. STEM Content Development
The Programme Manager will develop and refine STEM education content for school-based programmes. This includes:
- Developing programme outlines, course structures, learning objectives, and session plans.
- Creating lesson plans, trainer guides, activity flows, and facilitation notes.
- Preparing student materials such as worksheets, slides, activity books, and challenge briefs.
- Developing assessment tools, rubrics, quizzes, and project assessment templates.
- Preparing trainer resources such as briefing decks, technical notes, and delivery guides.
- Creating STEM project materials related to coding, robotics, engineering, design, and prototyping.
- Translating STEM concepts into age-appropriate learning materials for primary and secondary school students.
2. Programme Management Support
The Programme Manager will support the Singapore team in planning, coordinating, and managing STEM training projects. This includes:
- Supporting programme timelines, content schedules, and delivery preparation.
- Preparing trainer briefing materials and delivery instructions.
- Supporting logistics planning, including material lists, equipment checklists, and inventory preparation.
- Reviewing programme content and trainer delivery standards.
- Maintaining proper records of programme materials, updates, and revisions.
- Reviewing feedback from trainers, students, and schools, and recommending improvements.
- Supporting the smooth execution of STEM programmes delivered in Singapore.
3. STEM Racing Programme Support
The Programme Manager will assist in developing and managing content related to STEM Racing. This includes:
- Developing learning content related to aerodynamics, car design, engineering testing,
and design iteration.
- Supporting CAD/CAM learning content with student-friendly explanations.
- Creating project management resources such as team role templates, timelines, and planning guides.
- Developing materials related to branding, marketing, team identity, presentation, and sponsorship basics.
- Supporting competition preparation, including judging criteria, portfolio preparation, presentation practice, and team readiness.
- Preparing teacher and trainer support materials such as briefing guides and lesson delivery notes.
4. Programme Innovation and Research
The Programme Manager will stay updated with STEM education trends in Singapore, India, and internationally. This includes:
- Researching new ideas in coding, robotics, AI, engineering, and maker education.
- Proposing new programme concepts and improvements to existing programmes.
- Supporting the annual development of new STEM programmes and learning experiences.
- Keeping track of emerging tools, platforms, and technologies that can be used in school-based STEM education.
- Supporting business development efforts by helping to create programme concepts for new markets and school segments.
Areas of research may include:
- Scratch, Python, block-based coding, and app development.
- Microcontrollers such as Micro:bit, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and sensors.
- Robotics kits and automation projects.
- 3D printing, CAD design, laser cutting, and prototyping.
- Introductory AI and digital literacy.
- Sustainability-related STEM projects.
- Design thinking and hands-on maker education.
5. Trainer and Delivery Support
The Programme Manager will support the development and quality of associate trainers. This includes:
- Preparing clear trainer guides and delivery instructions.
- Conducting online trainer briefings where required.
- Supporting trainers with technical notes, lesson materials, and programme flow.
- Reviewing trainer feedback and identifying areas for content improvement.
- Updating training materials based on classroom needs and delivery feedback.
- Helping to ensure consistency and quality across trainers.
6. Administration and Reporting
The Programme Manager will maintain proper documentation and provide regular updates to the Singapore team. This includes:
- Maintaining version control of training materials.
- Providing weekly or monthly project progress updates.
- Organising programme records, lesson plans, materials, and checklists.
- Supporting cost-effective preparation of training materials.
- Making recommendations to improve programme quality, delivery, and operations.
- Ensuring that assigned programme documents and project records are properly updated.
Requirements Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Education, STEM, or a related field.
- Candidates with a background in STEM education, instructional design, robotics, coding, or engineering education will have an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in STEM education, curriculum development, training, programme management, or education content development.
- Experience in school programmes, student competitions, maker education, robotics clubs, coding bootcamps, or STEM labs will be advantageous.
- Experience in developing lesson plans,
student worksheets, trainer guides, training slides, or curriculum materials will be highly valued.
Skills
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong knowledge or working familiarity with STEM education.
- Ability to write clear lesson plans, slides, worksheets, and trainer guides.
- Good understanding of coding, robotics, engineering, or applied STEM concepts.
- Strong project coordination and documentation skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with Singapore-based teams through online meetings and digital platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and good file management habits.
- Ability to design engaging and practical learning activities for students.
- Ability to work independently while keeping the Singapore team updated.
- Willingness to learn new STEM tools, technologies, and education trends.
Preferred Technical Knowledge
Candidates with exposure to any of the following will have an advantage:
- Scratch, Python, or block-based coding platforms.
- Micro:bit, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or sensor-based projects.
- Robotics kits such as LEGO robotics, VEX, Makeblock, or Arduino-based robotics.
- Tinkercad, Fusion 360, or basic CAD tools.
- 3D printing, laser cutting, prototyping, or maker education.
- STEM Racing or other STEM-based student competitions.
- Google Workspace, Canva, LMS platforms, or AI tools for content creation.
Working Arrangement
- This is an India-based role supporting Singapore operations.
- The role may be remote or hybrid, depending on the final working arrangement and location.
- The Programme Manager will report to the Singapore-based Head of Innovation or Programme Lead.
- Working days are Monday to Friday.
- Working hours should be aligned with Singapore working hours where required.
- Regular online meetings with the Singapore team will be required.
