JOB DESCRIPTION – VMC 5-Axis Programmer (SolidWorks & Siemens Control)

Salary Range: ₹25,000 – ₹60,000 per month

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create and develop 3-axis & 5-axis programs using SolidWorks / CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM).
- Operate & set up VMC machines, especially 5-axis CNC machines.
- Use Siemens and Fanuc Control Software for machine operations, offsets, and program loading.
- Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and manufacturing instructions.
- Select appropriate tools, cutting parameters, speeds, and feeds.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, tool breakage, and dimensional errors.
- Ensure component accuracy as per tolerances using measurement tools (Vernier, Micrometer, CMM).
- Perform machine maintenance, calibration, and routine checks.
- Maintain production reports, programming records, and process documentation.
- Coordinate with design, quality, and production teams for smooth workflow.

2. REQUIRED SKILLS





- Strong command over SolidWorks (3D modeling & CAM programming).
- Expertise in Siemens Control Software / CNC machine control.
- Hands-on experience in VMC 5-axis machine programming.
- Knowledge of G-code & M-code.
- Good understanding of tools, cutters, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings & GD&T;.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle precision machining tasks.
- Basic computer skills & documentation ability.

3. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Preferred: 4–8 years experience in 5-axis programming using SolidWorks or CAM software (for salary 40k–60k).
- Experience working on Siemens-controlled CNC/VMC machines.
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace, automotive, mold-making, or precision component machining will be an added advantage.
