About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to manage the sourcing and procurement of electronic components, mechanical parts, PCBs, and manufacturing materials for our export-oriented electronics business. The ideal candidate will have strong supplier negotiation skills, extensive experience in international procurement, import/export documentation, customs clearance, and vendor management.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring material availability, optimizing procurement costs, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with Indian customs and export regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

- Source electronic components including:
- Semiconductors
- Microcontrollers
- ICs
- Connectors
- Sensors
- Passive components
- Power supplies
- Displays
- PCB assemblies
- Mechanical components
- Identify and qualify new domestic and international suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, evaluate bids, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Develop long-term supplier relationships.
- Reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality and delivery performance.
- Manage supplier performance through KPIs.

Supplier Management

- Conduct supplier evaluations and audits.
- Maintain supplier scorecards.
- Resolve quality and delivery issues.
- Negotiate annual pricing agreements.
- Coordinate engineering changes with suppliers.

Import & Export Operations

Handle procurement from international suppliers including:

- China
- Taiwan
- Europe
- USA
- Southeast Asia
- Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders.
- Prepare and review import/export documentation including:
- Commercial Invoices
- Packing Lists




- Bill of Lading
- Airway Bills
- Certificates of Origin
- HS Codes
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, GST, and export regulations.

Customs & Duty Clearance

- Coordinate customs clearance activities with CHA (Custom House Agents).
- Ensure timely duty payment and clearance.
- Experience working with:
- ICEGATE
- Customs EDI
- Duty drawback
- EPCG
- Advance Authorization
- Export incentives
- Resolve customs-related issues to minimize shipment delays.

Inventory Planning

- Monitor inventory levels.
- Forecast component requirements.
- Prevent shortages and excess inventory.
- Coordinate with production planning and engineering teams.
- Support MRP/ERP planning activities.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain procurement records.
- Ensure supplier compliance documentation is current.
- Track certificates such as:
- RoHS
- REACH
- Conflict Minerals
- Maintain ISO documentation where applicable.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and Logistics teams.
- Support current product introductions (NPI).
- Participate in cost reduction initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5–10 years of procurement experience in electronics manufacturing.
- Experience working with export-oriented manufacturing companies.
- Strong understanding of electronic components and supply chains.
- Experience in international sourcing and procurement.
- Hands-on knowledge of import/export documentation.




- Experience coordinating customs clearance and freight forwarding.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Zoho, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

- Experience sourcing directly from manufacturers in Asia.
- Knowledge of Incoterms 2020.
