A Mother Teacher is responsible for nurturing young children in a protected, caring, and stimulating classroom environment. The role focuses on holistic development—social, emotional, physical, and cognitive—through play-based and activity-oriented learning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Classroom Management

- Create a warm, welcoming, and child-friendly environment
- Ensure safety, hygiene, and well-being of all children
- Maintain discipline through positive reinforcement

2. Teaching & Learning

- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans
- Use play-way, experiential, and activity-based learning methods
- Conduct storytelling, rhymes, games, and creative activities
- Support development of early literacy and numeracy skills

3. Child Development

- Observe and track each child’s progress
- Identify individual learning needs and provide support
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social skills

4. Caregiving Role

- Assist children with basic needs (eating, toileting, hygiene)
- Provide emotional support and comfort
- Act as a nurturing caregiver similar to a “mother figure”

5. Assessment & Documentation





- Maintain records of student progress and behavior
- Prepare portfolios, worksheets, and reports
- Share regular feedback with parents

6. Parent Interaction

- Communicate regularly with parents regarding child development
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs)
- Guide parents on supporting learning at home

7. Collaboration

- Work closely with co-teachers and support staff
- Participate in school activities, events, and training programs

Skills & Competencies

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm in teaching
- Classroom management skills
- Basic understanding of early childhood education principles

Qualifications

- Diploma/Certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE/NTT/Montessori)
- Graduate (preferred)
- Prior experience in a kindergarten setting is an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
