- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer to create cutting-edge and efficient product designs using CAD software. The candidate should have experience in 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and engineering drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks or other CAD software.
- Create manufacturing drawings with GD&T; and tolerance specifications.
- Modify existing designs based on customer or production requirements.
- Generate Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Coordinate with production, quality, and project teams.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and customer specifications.
- Perform design calculations and feasibility studies.
- Maintain design documentation and revision history.
- Support prototype development and product improvements.
- Assist in resolving design-related manufacturing issues.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience in SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, Weldments).
- Knowledge of CAD software such as Creo,
CATIA, Siemens NX, or Inventor is an added advantage.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and drafting standards.
- Knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience in BOM preparation.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, casting, and sheet metal.
- Basic knowledge of material selection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
