We are looking for an experienced Civil Draftsman / AutoCAD Draftsman who can prepare civil, architectural, and submission drawings for residential and commercial projects. The candidate must have good knowledge of AutoCAD and should know how to prepare and submit drawings through K-SMART for building permit and completion-related work.
K-SMART is used for Kerala local-government services including building permits, plan verification, and permit-related submissions.
Responsibilities
1) Prepare architectural and civil drawings using AutoCAD.
2) Create plans, elevations, sections, site plans, and working drawings.
3) Prepare drawings for building permit submission.
4) Handle K-SMART building permit and completion submissions.
5) Check drawings according to Kerala building rules, setbacks, coverage, FAR, and basic approval requirements.
6) Coordinate with engineers, architects, clients, and site teams.
7) Make corrections and revisions based on engineer/client feedback.
8) Maintain drawing files, documents, and permit-related records.
9) Support site engineers with updated drawings when required.
Requirements
1)
Diploma / ITI / Degree in Civil Engineering or Draftsmanship.
2) Minimum 5 years of experience as Civil Draftsman preferred.
3) Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
4) Must know K-SMART permit submission process.
5) Knowledge of Kerala Municipality / Panchayat building rules preferred.
6) Ability to prepare accurate drawings with proper measurements and details.
7) Basic computer knowledge and document handling skills.
8) Good attention to detail and ability to complete work on time.
Preferred Skills
1)Experience with residential and commercial building drawings.
2) Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or 3D drawings is an added advantage.
3) Experience preparing permit drawings, completion drawings, and revised drawings.
4) Ability to communicate with clients and government/permit-related offices if needed.
