The following roles and responsibilities are applicable across multiple units.

- Conduct regular workplace safety inspections.
- Identify hazards and unsafe practices.
- Ensure employees follow safety rules.
- Ensure proper use of PPE.
- Conduct safety induction and training.
- Conduct toolbox talks.
- Prepare and review risk assessments/JSA.
- Monitor machine and electrical safety.
- Monitor fire safety equipment and arrangements.
- Conduct emergency and fire drills.
- Implement Permit-to-Work procedures.
- Monitor contractor safety.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain safety records and reports.
- Conduct regular safety audits.
- Ensure emergency exits are explicit and accessible.
- Report major safety issues to management.
- Follow up on corrective actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture in the workplace.
