Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Process Development & Optimization

- Design, develop, and implement paint application processes for new and existing products.
- Optimize paint shop layouts, process flow, and work methods to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Evaluate and introduce new paint technologies, application equipment, and automation solutions.

2. Equipment & Tooling Management

- Specify, procure, and validate paint shop equipment such as spray booths, ovens, conveyors, and robots.
- Plan preventive maintenance schedules to ensure reliable operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.

3. Quality Assurance

- Establish and monitor process parameters to maintain paint quality standards (Corrosion, UV Resistance, gloss, adhesion, finish).
- Work with Quality teams to ensure compliance with OEM quality standards.

4. Cost & Efficiency Improvements

- Analyse paint material usage and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency.
- Monitor paint shop KPIs such as cycle time and energy usage.

5. Safety & Environmental Compliance

- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to VOCs, hazardous waste, and emissions.




- Conduct risk assessments and safety training for paint shop staff.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects with paint process feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure paint-friendly part designs.
- Coordinate with suppliers for paint materials, consumables, and equipment.

Critical Experience

- Technical Skills: Knowledge of paint application systems, Familiarity with paint booth ventilation, curing ovens, and robotic spray systems. Understanding problem-solving tools. Paint Development and Validation process
- Soft Skills: Solid analytical skills, communication & ability to work in Cross functional teams, Well verse with SAP System.
