Mandatory Requirements

- 3–4 years of experience in Welded Tube / ERW / Steel Pipe Manufacturing Industry.
- Candidates must be currently based in Gujarat.
- Gujarati language proficiency is mandatory.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use quality measuring instruments.
- Willingness to work at Chhatral, Gandhinagar.

Educational Qualification

- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Or equivalent Engineering discipline

Preferred Certifications

- Lead Auditor
- Internal Auditor
- Lean Six Sigma
- 5S
- TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)

Experience Required

- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in Quality Control within the Welded Tube / ERW / Steel Pipe Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience in quality inspections, ISO quality systems, and manufacturing quality processes.

Job Purpose

To ensure consistent quality of welded tubes and incoming materials by carrying out stage-wise inspections, monitoring welding and dimensional quality, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and applicable quality standards. The role also focuses on reducing defects through continuous improvement and supporting customer satisfaction.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Perform in-process, final, dimensional, visual, weld quality, and hydro/pressure testing inspections.
- Inspect incoming raw materials, steel strips/coils, and vendor-supplied materials.
- Monitor welding quality, dimensional accuracy, surface finish, straightness, and ovality.
- Ensure products comply with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.
- Maintain QC reports, inspection records,



calibration records, rejection reports, and traceability documentation.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to reduce defects and improve manufacturing processes.
- Support customer inspections, internal audits, ISO compliance activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote 5S practices on the shop floor.

Technical Skills Required

- Experience in Welded Tube / ERW / Steel Pipe Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of dimensional, visual, and weld quality inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and quality specifications.
- Knowledge of welding defects, hydro testing, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and CAPA.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Measuring Tape
- Knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems and quality documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Reporting & Documentation).
