Cashier at ANK Restaurants

We are looking for an experienced Cashier familiar with POS software and who can fulfill the following duties:

1. Cash Handling Responsibilities:

- Accepting payments through cash, credit cards, debit cards, or digital wallets. Ensuring the correct amount is received for purchases.
- Counting money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts, making change accurately, and ensuring the drawer balance is correct.
- Balancing the cash register and preparing the shift's financial report to ensure there are no discrepancies.

2. Customer Support

- Providing customers with receipts or invoices for their transactions, ensuring they are clear and accurate.
- Assisting customers with questions, concerns, or issues they might have about their purchases. Offering a friendly and qualified attitude.
- Managing customer complaints or issues, such as incorrect charges or out-of-stock products, and escalating matters when necessary.
- Addressing any payment-related issues, discrepancies, or customer concerns with a professional demeanour, and escalating issues when necessary.

3. Maintenance and other responsibilities

- Scanning or entering product prices into the register or point-of-sale (POS) system to calculate totals.
- Keeping the cashier area clean and organized, including restocking items such as bags, receipt paper, or other materials.
- Must be familiar with PETPOOJA Software or any other POS software system.

. 4. Daily Financial Reporting & Reconciliation

- Cash Drops: Recording and verifying exact cash floats ("house banks") at the start and end of shifts.
- Payment Settlement: Generating an end-of-day Cashier Log Report to reconcile total sales across cash, credit/debit cards,



and mobile wallets (such as UPI/QR codes).
- Variance Tracking: Reporting any discrepancies between actual cash counted in the drawer and expected sales calculated by the POS system (must be nil or within an acceptable, negligible margin of error).
- Petty Cash Logs: Documenting any small cash expenditures made from the drawer (e.g., emergency ingredient purchases, tips), accompanied by receipts.

6. Inventory & Order Reporting

- Captain Orders: Reconciling physical Captain Order slips (or KOTs - Kitchen Order Tickets) against the billed items to prevent unrecorded giveaways or theft.
- Void & Discount Logging: Reporting any cancelled orders, modified items, or management-approved discounts to trace them back to the authorizing authority (e.g., the Restaurant Manager).
- Roll & Supply Updates: Tracking and reporting the usage of physical supplies like receipt paper rolls, printer ribbons, or NFC scanner batteries to ensure the cashier's station never experiences downtime.

4. Direct Reporting Protocol

- Shift Handover: At the end of a shift, the cashier must print a daily sales report (POS systems), count the cash physically, and sign a handover document acknowledging the exact totals being passed to the next cashier or manager on duty.
- Incident Reports: Immediate verbal and written reporting to the Manager if any suspicious transactions, counterfeit notes, or system errors occur.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
