Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) and automation systems. The candidate should have knowledge of mechanical design, machine components, and CAD software to support the complete machine development process.

Key Responsibilities

- Design SPMs, automation equipment, fixtures, and machine assemblies.
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models.
- Develop assembly drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and detailed part drawings.
- Select standard mechanical components such as linear guides, ball screws, bearings, cylinders, motors, and gearboxes.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Assembly, Electrical, and PLC teams.
- Support machine assembly, trials, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Modify existing designs based on customer requirements and engineering changes.
- Ensure designs comply with quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.




- Maintain engineering documentation and design revisions.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Knowledge of machine design and engineering calculations.
- Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical power transmission.
- Ability to read manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and tolerance stack-up.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Experience

- 0–5 years of experience in SPM Automation, Machine Design, Industrial Automation, or Special Purpose Machine manufacturing.
- Freshers with robust CAD skills and a mechanical design background may also apply.
