We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Freight Broker to join our growing logistics team. The ideal candidate should have experience in the U.S. trucking industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with shippers and carriers. The role involves generating new business, managing freight movements, negotiating competitive rates, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate new business by cold calling, emailing, and networking with prospective shippers.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and carriers.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates while maximizing profit margins.
- Coordinate and manage the complete shipment process from booking to delivery.
- Source reliable carriers through DAT, Truckstop, and other load boards.
- Track shipments and proactively communicate updates to customers.
- Resolve operational issues, delays, and service failures promptly.
- Ensure all documentation, PODs, invoices, and load details are accurate.
- Meet or exceed monthly revenue and gross margin targets.
- Maintain accurate records in the TMS (ITS Dispatch or similar software).
- Collaborate with carrier sales, operations, and accounting teams for smooth execution.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in U.S. Freight Brokerage.
- Strong knowledge of Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, Power Only, and LTL freight.
- Experience using DAT Load Board,



Truckstop, Highway, ITS Dispatch, or similar logistics software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Strong sales mindset with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Preferred Skills

- Existing shipper relationships are a plus.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and carrier compliance.
- Experience handling spot freight and dedicated lanes.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
