Visl AI: AI Filmmaking and Direction - Internship

The Chance

We are a stealth AI-first startup building the next generation high-velocity B2C products. Founded by a second-time founder ($100M exit), we plan to build carefully, market sharply and growth fast.

We are looking for creative individuals deeply interested in making short films and storytelling videos, with a subtle understanding of storyboarding, narrative design and visual direction. We are looking for audience understanding and high-taste.

You will be working closely with the founding AI team to create best-in-class AI-led movies which will be among the world’s first.

You will work at the intersection of creativity, AI, and product development, to both help us fine tune our product and also create viral videos. You will work closely with founders, product teams, and early users to create content, test creative workflows, and help shape how AI-powered storytelling evolves.

Your Mission

- Direct AI-led movies co-working with AI for storyboarding, visual design, casting and screenplay.
- Develop and invent new visual and storytelling styles closely working with AI tools.
- Evaluate AI generated content, find lacunas, areas of improvement and help teach AI develop better taste.
- Test created films with audience, drive viewership, engagement and feedback for new movie direction.
- Become a power user for our stealth tool, uncovering its full potential, identifying bugs, workflow gaps, quality issues, and opportunities for improvement.




- Analyze content performance and audience feedback to identify what resonates with users and inform future product and growth decisions.

Who You Are

- Student or recent graduate from a design school, film/media program, visual communication, animation, creative arts, or a related field. Strong self-taught creators are equally welcome.
- Have an understanding of various storytelling media, and have a strong taste for video content.
- You already create content on YouTube, Instagram, X, or other platforms and can demonstrate portfolio, or track record of publishing creative work.
- Familiar with AI video generation tools and broader AI creative workflows, with a genuine interest in exploring how AI is transforming content creation.
- Understands what makes content engaging and has a robust eye for visuals, pacing, storytelling, and internet-native content formats.
- Loves trying new ideas, testing different approaches, and figuring out what works through rapid experimentation rather than waiting for instructions.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, takes ownership, moves fast, and enjoys working directly with founders to build something from scratch
