Role Overview:-
The Placement Officer plays a key role in ensuring successful employment and apprenticeship outcomes for candidates from blue-collar, ITI, diploma, and vocational backgrounds. The role focuses on building strong employer partnerships and aligning candidate skills with suitable opportunities across manufacturing, EV, solar, MSMEs, factories, and service industries. This position requires strong field engagement, regular employer interaction, and close coordination with internal teams to achieve consistent placement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Develop and maintain strong employer relationships with MSMEs, factories, OEMs, vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Identify, negotiate, and close job, apprenticeship, and on-the-job training (OJT) opportunities for ITI, diploma, and vocational candidates
- Plan and execute campus placement drives, employer visits, job fairs, and industry interaction sessions
- Coordinate with employers hiring technicians, helpers, operators, apprentices, machine operators, and entry-level shop-floor roles
- Conduct pre-placement talks, career-orientation programs, and employability workshops
- Support candidates with resume preparation, interview readiness, workplace discipline, and shop-floor etiquette
- Organize and facilitate mock interviews and basic skill-assessment activities in coordination with trainers
- Maintain accurate placement records including employer details, candidate mapping, offers, joining confirmation, and follow-ups
- Prepare placement MIS reports for internal review and tracking
- Leverage alumni networks, local references, and industry contacts to generate placement opportunities
- Undertake frequent field travel for employer visits, coordination meetings, and placement-related activities
Skills & Competencies:-
- Strong networking and employer relationship-management skills
- Practical understanding of blue-collar, technician, and apprentice-level hiring
- Familiarity with apprenticeship models, MSME hiring cycles, and factory recruitment processes
- Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills
- Ability to work in a target-driven and field-oriented workplace
- Willingness to frequently travel on the field
Qualification & Experience:-
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in placements, recruitment, staffing, or skill-development projects
- MBA / Engineering / Any Graduate / Diploma
Salary & Location:-
- Salary (based on experience)
- Location: -Bangalore
- Work Schedule: - Monday to Saturday
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
