Job Summary
The MBBS Doctor is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients by diagnosing illnesses, prescribing appropriate treatment, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring high standards of patient care. The doctor works collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver secure, ethical, and evidence-based medical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine patients, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
- Diagnose acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and diagnostic investigations.
- Interpret laboratory and imaging reports to formulate treatment plans.
- Provide emergency medical care and stabilize critically ill patients when required.
- Admit, manage, and discharge patients according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records.
- Follow infection control policies and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient services, health camps, and community outreach programs as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and applicable medical regulations.
- Participate in continuous medical education (CME), quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits.
Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid registration with the State Medical Council or National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
Experience
- Fresh MBBS graduates or candidates with 1–5 years of clinical experience are eligible.
- Experience in hospital or emergency care is preferred.

- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Sound knowledge of medical ethics and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to make timely and accurate clinical decisions.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in maintaining electronic or manual medical records.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Participation in emergency and on-call duties as per hospital requirements.

- Compliance with clinical protocols and documentation standards.
- Timely completion of medical records.
