Job Title: Finance Controller

Job Summary:

The Finance Controller will oversee and manage the complete finance and accounts team for a solar EPC company. This role includes controlling the company's financial cash flow, maintaining banking relationships, overseeing budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. The Finance Controller will play a key role in strategic financial planning, analysis, and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Reporting:

- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management.

Cash Flow Management:

- Manage the company's cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Monitor cash balances and forecasts, and develop strategies to optimize cash flow.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Lead the annual budgeting process, including the preparation and review of budget proposals.
- Monitor and analyze budget variances, and provide insights and recommendations to management.

Banking and Financial Relationships:

- Establish and maintain solid relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Negotiate terms and conditions for banking services, loans, and other financial products.

Compliance and Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Oversee internal and external audits and implement recommendations for improvements.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to the organization.

Strategic Planning:

- Participate in strategic planning processes and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.

Operational Efficiency:





- Implement and maintain financial systems and software to improve operational efficiency.
- Drive process improvements to streamline financial operations and reporting.

Skill set required :

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting
- Experience in the renewable energy or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

KPI of the Role

Cash Flow Management:

Objective: Ensure optimal liquidity and financial stability for the company.

KPI: Maintain a minimum cash reserve ratio of [X]% of monthly operating expenses.

Measurement: Monthly review of cash flow statements and comparison against the set benchmark.

Budget Accuracy and Variance:

Objective: Enhance the accuracy of budgeting and financial forecasting.

KPI: Achieve a variance of less than [X]% between actual and budgeted figures.

Measurement: Quarterly analysis of budget vs. actual financial performance.

Financial Reporting Timeliness:

Objective: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.

KPI: Complete and submit monthly financial reports by the [Xth] day of each month.

Measurement: Track the submission dates of monthly financial reports and compare with the target date.

Compliance and Audit Findings:

Objective: Maintain high standards of financial compliance and risk management.
