Production Engineer - Position Summary

The Production Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing manufacturing activities to ensure the timely production of high-quality foundry equipment and turnkey project components. The role requires close coordination with design, procurement, quality, and project teams to achieve production targets while maintaining safety, quality, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution

- Plan, schedule, and monitor manufacturing activities to meet project timelines and customer commitments.
- Coordinate fabrication, machining, assembly, painting, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and resources.
- Monitor daily production progress and take corrective actions to minimize delays.

Process Improvement

- Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for productivity enhancement.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reduce production downtime, rework, and material wastage.
- Develop and standardize manufacturing procedures and work instructions.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure products are manufactured according to engineering drawings,



specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team for inspections and quality control activities.
- Address production-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company quality systems and customer requirements.

Project Coordination

- Work closely with Design, Procurement, and Project Management teams for seamless project execution.
- Track project milestones and support timely completion of turnkey foundry projects.
- Assist in production readiness reviews and resource planning.

Safety Management

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Promote a safe working environment across fabrication and assembly operations.
- Conduct safety inspections and participate in safety improvement initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare production reports, productivity analyses, and progress updates.
- Maintain records of production schedules, resource utilization, and performance metrics.
- Support ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–8 years of experience in fabrication, heavy engineering, foundry equipment manufacturing, material handling systems, or industrial machinery production.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly operations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and industrial safety practices.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
