Profile - Safety Officer

Qualification - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Experience - Min 5-7 years of experience in a safety or HSE role in Heavy Metal Industry.

Salary - Upto 6 LPA + Food + Accommodation

Role Purpose

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining workplace health and safety standards to ensure compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and industry best practices. The role focuses on preventing workplace accidents, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring a secure working environment for all employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilites

- Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and audits.
- Constitute safety committee and arrange routine meetings.
- Implement safety committee suggestions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed investigation reports.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance.
- Organize safety induction programs and regular safety training for employees and contractors.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident logs,



and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and evacuation exercises.
- Ensure fire protection equipment, first aid facilities, and emergency response systems are maintained.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and compliance with company safety requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
- Promote safety awareness through safety meetings.
- Recommend improvements to safety procedures and policies.
