We are seeking a proficient Backend Developer with expertise in Python and experience in developing robust backend systems using Flask or Django. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data processing and data normalisation . Candidate must have a proven ability to design and implement REST APIs. AI/ML experienced candidates will be prioritised for this role.

Product Developer Responsibilities

- API Development: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask or Django.
- Data Processing: Implement data processing pipelines using Pandas ,Dask ,and NumPy to handle large datasets.
- AI / ML Capabilities– Working with Scikit-learn , Bokeh , Dash etc. Knowledge to handle task automation and rapid development
- Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, manage database interactions using MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- File Management: Develop mechanisms to handle various data file types (Excel, CSV, JSON, text) and process them for intelligent reporting.
- Historical Data: Implement functionality to maintain historical data for visualisations and comparisons.
- Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers to integrate APIs with Frontend UI applications, ensuring seamless data flow and user experience.
- Deployment: Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, using Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, conduct code reviews, and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Security: Implement security best practices, including user authentication and authorization mechanisms.




- Testing: Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs, data models, and processing workflows.

Qualifications and Skillset

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
- Proficiency in Flask and/or Django frameworks.
- Strong experience with data processing libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
- Knowledge of database design and management (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including version control with Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, JavaScript).
- Experience with serverless architecture and services (AWS Lambda).
