About the Role:

We are a Chennai-based recycling and waste management company dealing in plastic scrap, lead acid battery scrap, and e-waste. We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to manage the complete scrap supply chain — from coordinating vendor pickups at source, overseeing transport and logistics, to ensuring proper receipt, segregation, and storage at our warehouse. This is a ground-level leadership role requiring strong field presence, team management skills, and a thorough understanding of scrap materials and recycling operations.

Materials Handled:

- Plastic Scrap: PP, HDPE, ABS, PET, PC, Nylon — post-industrial and post-consumer
- Lead Acid Battery Scrap: Whole, drained, crushed — from auto workshops and industries
- E-Waste: PCBs, cables, IT equipment, mixed e-waste from corporates and dealers
- Mixed recyclable scrap materials

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate daily with scrap suppliers, dealers, and generators for material pickup scheduling and quantity confirmation
- Arrange and supervise pickup vehicles, track inbound material movement, ensure timely collection from multiple locations
- Oversee weighing, grading, and inspection of incoming scrap at warehouse — ensure correct quantity and quality as per purchase order
- Supervise unloading, segregation, stacking, and proper storage of different scrap categories in designated warehouse areas
- Manage and guide a team of drivers, helpers, sorters, and warehouse staff on daily operations
- Maintain inward registers, vehicle log, weigh bridge records, gate entry/exit logs, and daily operations MIS
- Ensure all scrap movements comply with CPCB/SPCB norms, e-way bill requirements, and hazardous waste handling rules
- Handle on-ground issues — vehicle breakdowns,



supplier disputes, material shortages — and escalate when needed
- Submit daily inward reports, stock updates, and pending collections to management

Requirements:

- 3–6 years of experience in scrap operations, recycling logistics, or waste management
- Knowledge of plastic scrap grades, battery scrap types, and e-waste categories
- Experience managing inbound logistics — vehicle coordination, route planning, trip scheduling
- Hands-on warehouse experience — inward, stacking, stock management, weigh bridge operations
- Proven ability to supervise and manage a team of 5–15 field and warehouse staff
- Knowledge of e-way bill generation, hazardous waste manifest, and scrap purchase documentation
- Comfortable working in field conditions — scrap yards, warehouses, supplier locations
- Proficiency in Tamil; basic English for documentation and reporting
- Two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving licence preferred for field visits

Preferred Background:

- Previously worked as supervisor/coordinator at scrap dealers, recycling companies, or waste aggregators
- Experience in CPCB-authorised e-waste or hazardous waste recycling facilities
- Familiarity with weigh bridge operations and inward material verification
- Knowledge of ITAD (IT Asset Disposal) processes for e-waste — added advantage
- Prior exposure to ERP/Tally for stock entries and purchase records

Pay: ₹30,000.87 - ₹40,000.37 per month
