Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY Owns vulnerability remediation across SG's Cisco routing, switching and indirect-network estate. Operates within the 7-day SLA for Tier-2 assets, leveraging partial automation where available. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Triage Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS and related platform vulnerabilities; remediate within 7-day SLA. Apply firmware upgrades on routers and switches; coordinate maintenance windows. Apply configuration hardening per CIS / Cisco-recommended baselines. Coordinate with application teams where indirect exposure intersects production traffic. Contribute to automation initiatives — DNA Center, Ansible, NSO playbooks. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS Cisco IOS-XE, NX-OS administration; routing and switching fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, STP). Familiarity with Cisco PSIRT advisory triage. Configuration management with Ansible or Cisco DNA Center. Understanding of firmware upgrade procedures and rollback. PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE Cisco CCNP or higher. Network automation: Python, Ansible, NSO. Familiarity with Catalyst Centre / DNA Centre. EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS 5+ years operating enterprise Cisco networks. Certifications: CCNP or equivalent. SOFT SKILLS Detail-oriented; methodical. Robust written communication for change records.
