Project description

Perform embedded system software design and implementation for leading high-performance data networking products as a member of a highly capable and dynamic engineering team.

Responsibilities

. Architect/Design and Develop embedded platform software for high end networking solutions

. Work closely with HW Development team for platform features & fixes

. Participate in HW Design reviews, articulate system software requirements

. Experience in Linux Kernel upgrades & Yocto packages

. Demonstrate cross functional collaboration with Product Marketing, SQA and other development teams to ensure embedded platform software meets all performance, scalability, interop and security requirements

Lead the platform team, interact cross functionally on matters that require coordination across organization lines.

Write functional and design specification documents and drive sign-off. Interface with developers, QA, documentation & customer support & program management teams.

Participate in full product life cycle development.

Skills

Must have





Minimum of B.S./B.E./B.Tech in CS/EE/ECE/IT

12+ years of relevant industry experience in Networking/Telecom

Embedded/Network Management . Excellent understanding of Linux Internals, Device Driver development, BIOS/BMC Operations, . Excellent knowledge of switching ASICs (Broadcom XGS/DNX) to address platform requirements . Expert programming skills in C/C++ . Ability to thrive in fast paced agile development environment . Familiarity with Secure coding practices is a big plus . Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills . Must have robust written, oral communication and interpersonal skills . Understanding of virtualization technologies (Virtual Machines, Containers) is a plus

Nice to have

Go Lang experience is a plus
