Job Descritpion of HCM OIC Technical Consultant

10 to 12 Years Relevant Experience

We are seeking a seasoned HCM OIC Technical Consultant with strong experience in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle Fusion HCM integrations. This role requires hands-on expertise in designing and implementing integrations using OIC, developing BIP and OTBI reports, and working with PL/SQL to support data flows and reporting across cloud and on-premise systems. The ideal candidate will also be familiar with Agile delivery practices and DevOps tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and support integration flows using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) between Oracle Fusion HCM and third-party or on-premise applications.
- Utilize OIC capabilities to work with REST, SOAP, FTP, FBDI, and file-based integrations.
- Develop BI Publisher (BIP) extracts and OTBI reports based on business needs.
- Perform B2B and FBDI integrations, customizations using Application Composer, and file transformations.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and develop technical specifications.
- Write and maintain PL/SQL code to support complex data transformations and integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to integrations, reports, and data flow.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprints, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.




- Contribute to project documentation including technical design documents, deployment guides, and user support materials.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10–12 years of total IT experience with at least:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- 2+ years of experience in BI Publisher (BIP) and OTBI report development.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development.

- Proven experience integrating Oracle Fusion HCM with external/boundary systems via OIC.
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, JSON, and WSDL.
- Solid understanding of file-based data imports (FBDI) and Web Services.
- Experience working with Application Composer customizations and data extract processes.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, JIRA).

Preferred Qualifications

- Oracle Cloud Integration or Oracle HCM certifications.
- Experience in other Fusion modules such as Finance or Procurement is a plus.
- Understanding of security and authentication standards (OAuth, SAML, etc.).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipeline tools and automation for OIC deployments.
