Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Lathe Operator to join our production team. The candidate will be responsible for operating conventional lathe machines to produce high-precision components used in valve manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate conventional (manual) lathe machines to perform turning operations on metal components.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and job orders to determine machining requirements.
- Set up workpieces, tools, and fixtures accurately as per job specifications.
- Perform operations such as facing, turning, threading, drilling, and boring.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, Micrometer, Height gauge, etc.).
- Monitor machine operation to ensure production of components within specified tolerances.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain quality.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work in coordination with quality inspectors and production supervisors.

Key Skills Required:

- Proven experience in operating and setting manual lathe machines.
- Good knowledge of machining processes and cutting parameters.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.




- Skilled in using measuring instruments for inspection and quality control.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple components and batch production.
- Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to production requirements.

Educational Qualification:

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Fitter Trade / Machinist
- Any relevant technical certification in machine tool operation

Preferred Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in lathe machine operation in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in machining valve components is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of machining precision components is an added advantage.

Salary:

- 8 Hours Shift RS 700 (18000 Onwards Per Month)
