- Receive raw materials, packing materials, spares, and consumables; verify against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
- Inspect incoming goods for quantity and quality along with the QC team before accepting into stores.
- Maintain proper storage of materials as per FIFO/FEFO (First-In-First-Out / First-Expiry-First-Out) principles, especially critical for FMCG raw materials with shelf life.
- Issue materials to production/packing departments against indents, and maintain accurate stock records (manual and system-based).
- Maintain bin cards, stock registers, and update ERP/inventory software in real time.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile with book stock; report discrepancies.
- Monitor minimum/reorder stock levels and inform Purchase department in advance to avoid production stoppages.
- Ensure proper labelling, tagging, and traceability (batch no.,



mfg/expiry date) of all stored materials.
- Maintain cleanliness, pest control compliance, and safe storage conditions (temperature/humidity where applicable) in the store as per FMCG/food safety norms.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QC, and Dispatch teams for smooth material flow.
- Manage finished goods storage and coordinate timely dispatch as per sales orders.
- Ensure documentation for statutory/audit requirements (GST, FSSAI, internal audits) is maintained properly.
- Maintain safety standards while handling materials, forklifts/pallet trucks, and racking systems.
