We are seeking a dedicated Counseling & Wellness Teacher with 2–5 years of experience to provide counseling, emotional support, and wellness education to students. The ideal candidate should be capable of identifying students' emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns while creating a safe and supportive environment that promotes positive mental health and overall well-being.

The candidate will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and school management to ensure students receive the guidance and support they need to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students for academic, emotional, behavioral, and personal concerns.
- Promote students' mental health, emotional well-being, and positive life skills.
- Identify students requiring additional emotional or psychological support and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Conduct wellness programs, life skills sessions, awareness campaigns, and workshops on topics such as stress management, emotional intelligence, cyber safety, bullying prevention, and career awareness.
- Work closely with teachers and parents to support students' overall development and address behavioral or academic concerns.
- Maintain confidential counseling records, case notes, and student documentation.
- Guide students in developing healthy relationships, self-confidence, communication skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Assist students during examinations and other high-pressure situations by providing emotional support and coping strategies.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and student welfare committees.
- Refer students to external mental health professionals whenever necessary.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE guidelines related to student counseling and wellness programs.
- Create a safe, inclusive,



and positive school environment that encourages student well-being.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counseling, Applied, or Educational Psychology) OR
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) with specialization in Mental Health or Counseling OR
- Any Bachelor's/Master's Degree with a Diploma in School Counseling or Child Guidance & Counseling.
- 2–5 years of experience in school counseling, student wellness, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent psychology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working in a CBSE school or educational institution.
- Knowledge of child protection policies and student safeguarding practices.
- Ability to conduct life skills education and wellness programs.
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills.
- Familiarity with digital counseling tools and documentation systems.
- Empathetic, patient, and committed to supporting students' emotional and personal development.
