Professor Academy is a leading competitive exam coaching institute established in 2016, with its Head Office in Chennai and Academic Back Office in Thirumangalam, Madurai. We specialize in producing high-quality study materials, textbooks, MCQ banks, solved papers, and academic publications for CSIR/UGC NET, TRB, TNPSC, and other competitive examinations.

As part of our ongoing publication projects, we are hiring a Skilled InDesign Paginator for a short-term remote contract assignment.

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced InDesign Paginator with proven expertise in academic book layout and study material formatting. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling large-volume pagination projects and preparing print-ready and digital-ready academic materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and paginate academic textbooks, guidebooks, MCQ banks, and solved papers
- Structure and format large volumes of subject content into student-friendly layouts
- Ensure typographical accuracy, proper spacing, alignment, and layout consistency
- Prepare print-ready files with correct bleed, margins, and export settings
- Export optimized files for PDF and digital formats (EPUB preferred)
- Create and maintain layout templates for uniform branding and formatting




- Coordinate remotely with subject coordinators and editorial teams
- Perform final quality checks before submission

Mandatory Requirements

- Proven experience in academic book design and study material preparation
- Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- Solid understanding of typography, layout hierarchy, and publishing standards
- Experience in large-scale pagination projects
- Knowledge of pre-press preparation and digital export settings
- Ability to meet strict deadlines independently

Preferred Qualifications

- 1–3 years of experience in academic publishing or coaching institute materials
- Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
- Experience handling English and Tamil layouts (added advantage)
- Prior experience with educational publishers or exam coaching institutions

Contract Details

- Duration: 2 Months (Project-Based Contract)
- Mode: Remote (Work From Home)
- Payment: Project-based / Monthly contract remuneration (to be discussed based on experience)
- Immediate joining preferred
