Job Description of Database Admin/Build Eng in Sydney :

8 - 9 years of experience as Database Admin on Oracle, EDB Postgres, MySQL, Microsoft SQL

Design & build Oracle Databases

Oracle standalone

Oracle RAC

Oracle ADG

Golden Gate is added advantage

Design & build MySQL / PostgreSQL Databases

Standalone

Master Slave configuration / DR setup

Design & build Microsoft SQL Databases

Standalone

AlwaysOn

Replication or Logshipping

Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Centre knowledge

Develop and maintain system documentation related to the database configuration

Perform Patch & release management

Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity

React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools - escalating to management where appropriate

Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system

Knowledge of following Operating System environments

Redhat/Oracle Linux

IBM AIX

Oracle Solaris

Windows Servers
