Senior V&V; Engineer Bangalore · Full-time · Hybrid

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior V&V; Engineer with strong expertise in DO-178C verification and validation for safety-critical airborne software. The role involves close collaboration with various teams, including software development, systems engineering, certification, and quality teams, to ensure compliance with aerospace certification standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in planning, executing, and reviewing verification activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform software verification and validation activities for airborne software developed as per DO-178C guidelines.
- Review and analyze Software Requirements, architecture, design, and source code for testability and compliance.
- Develop Software Verification Plans, test procedures, test cases, and verification reports.
- Execute requirements-based testing, integration testing, and system testing.
- Perform structural coverage analysis, including Statement Coverage, Decision Coverage, and Modified Condition/Decision Coverage (MC/DC).
- Analyze verification results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and support defect resolution.




- Verify software traceability between requirements, design, code, and test cases.
- Support certification audits and compliance activities with certification authorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, systems engineering, safety, quality assurance, and certification teams.
- Mentor junior V&V; engineers and conduct technical reviews.

Requirements

- Have 7-15 years of experience.
- Possess robust expertise in DO-178C verification and validation for safety-critical airborne software.
- Have hands-on experience in planning, executing, and reviewing verification activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace certification standards.
- Collaborate with software development, systems engineering, certification, and quality teams.
