Job Title: Safety Officer – Construction

Experience 2–5 Years (Construction Industry)

Qualification : Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)

NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / Diploma in Industrial Safety / ADIS (Mandatory)

Additional HSE certifications will be an added advantage.

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at construction sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and promoting a secure working environment for all employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE laws, regulations, and company safety policies.

· Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.

· Prepare and implement site-specific safety plans and risk assessments.

· Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for employees and subcontractors.

· Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.

· Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits, and statutory documentation.

· Coordinate emergency response drills, evacuation procedures, and first-aid arrangements.

· Ensure safe work practices for activities such as excavation, scaffolding, lifting operations, working at height, confined space entry, and electrical work.

· Monitor housekeeping standards across the construction site.

· Conduct periodic safety audits and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

· Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients on HSE matters.





· Ensure all work permits are issued and monitored as per permit-to-work procedures.
