Job Description – Billing Engineer

Position Overview

The Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing, verifying, and maintaining all billing-related documentation for electrical projects. This role ensures accurate measurement of work executed at site, timely submission of client bills, certification, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline the billing process.

Key Responsibilities

- Client Billing & Certification
- Prepare running account (RA) bills, final bills, and variation claims as per contract terms.
- Verify quantities executed at site with measurement sheets and drawings.
- Submit bills to clients/consultants and follow up for certification and payment release.
- Quantity & Measurement Verification
- Cross-check site measurements with BOQ, drawings, and site execution records.
- Maintain updated records of executed quantities for billing and project monitoring.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain systematic records of bills, certified copies, measurement books, and reconciliation statements.
- Coordinate with Project, Procurement, and Accounts teams for smooth billing operations.




- Prepare MIS reports related to billing, certification, receivables, and cash flow projections.
- Compliance & Contract Management
- Ensure billing is in line with contractual terms, rates, and approved deviations.
- Highlight discrepancies, scope variations, or potential claims to the Project/Contracts team.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of billing procedures, BOQ, and contract conditions.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP/project billing software.
- Good understanding of electrical drawings and site execution practices.
- Analytical skills for quantity verification and reconciliation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for dealing with clients, consultants, and site teams.

Qualification & Experience

- Education: Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in billing within electrical contracting / EPC industry.
- Knowledge of electrical materials, execution practices, and industry standards is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
