About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Construction Takeoff and Estimation Specialist based in Pakistan to support California construction projects. The ideal candidate understands U.S. construction drawings, takeoffs, estimating, and trade scopes, with a strong focus on accuracy, speed, and organization.

You will review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare estimates, and help organize bids for residential and commercial projects in California.

Responsibilities

- Review architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and finish plans.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from PDF plans and construction drawings.
- Prepare estimates for multiple trades, including:
- Drywall
- Paint
- Flooring
- Concrete
- Framing
- Roofing
- Doors, windows, and finishes
- Basic MEP scopes when needed
- Identify scope gaps, missing details, and unclear plan notes.
- Read specifications, schedules, legends, details, and addenda.
- Create organized takeoff summaries and bid worksheets.
- Break down labor, material, equipment, waste, and subcontractor pricing.
- Help compare subcontractor quotes and prepare bid packages.
- Communicate clearly with the project owner or estimator for review.
- Meet deadlines for bid submissions.

Required Experience

- Experience with construction takeoffs and estimating.
- Ability to read U.S. construction drawings and specifications.




- Knowledge of California or U.S. construction standards is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of residential and commercial building scopes.
- Experience estimating by trade, not just measuring quantities.
- Robust attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and ask smart questions when drawings are unclear.

Software Skills Preferred

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

- PlanHub
- Bluebeam
- Planswift
- STACK
- On-Screen Takeoff
- Excel / Google Sheets
- Procore
- AutoCAD or Revit viewer tools

California Construction Knowledge Preferred

The candidate should understand or be willing to learn:

- California construction terminology
- Prevailing wage / public bid awareness
- Subcontractor scope breakdowns
- RFI-style questions
- Bid alternates, addenda, allowances, and exclusions
- Trade-specific takeoff methods
- California residential and commercial building practices
