Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer specializing in Electro Chlorination systems to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with expertise in designing and developing advanced electro chlorination solutions. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical knowledge, and project management skills to ensure successful project execution from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

System design and development

- Create and optimize system designs, including process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs;).
- Select and specify all components, such as electrolyzers, rectifiers, pumps, valves, and hydrogen management equipment.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations for mass balance, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and electrical loads.
- Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for system fabrication and layout.

Project management and support

- Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop documentation, including technical reports, specifications, and operational manuals.
- Provide technical support during system installation, commissioning, and performance testing.
- Oversee projects to ensure they meet client requirements, industry regulations, safety protocols, and budget constraints.

Technical analysis and innovation

- Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD)



and finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize designs for flow distribution, heat management, and mechanical integrity.
- Perform risk assessments, including Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
- Evaluate new technologies and components to enhance system performance, reduce energy consumption, and lower operational costs.
- Address operational challenges, including fouling control, corrosion, and energy efficiency.

Qualifications and skills

Educational background

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong academic background in electro chlorination is highly desirable.

Professional experience

- 2–5+ years of experience in design engineering, preferably with a focus on electrochemical systems, water treatment, or chemical process plants.
- Familiarity with industrial processes, particularly in the oil and gas, marine, power generation, and municipal water sectors, is a plus.

Technical skills

- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software
- Knowledge of electrochemical principles, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and materials science.
- Experience with PLC programming, instrumentation, and control system integration is beneficial.
