Role Summary:

Experienced Tech Lead driving AI and Azure-based solutions, specializing in Copilot/agent platforms and enterprise integrations. Owns end-to-end technical delivery, ensuring scalable, secure, and governance-aligned architectures while bridging engineering and business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

As a Lead Data Scientist specializing in OpenAI technology and Cognitive Services, you will lead the design and development of AI applications and models powered by OpenAI’s state-of-the-art models. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative AI solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the design and implementation of GenAI projects. The Lead Data Scientist will also be responsible for providing technical guidance and leadership to the team and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Proven experience as a Data Scientist/AI Developer with expertise in machine learning and data science.

Design and develop GenAI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques.

Experience in creating AI agents using agentic frameworks like Lang Graph, AutoGen, etc.

Programming and Implementation: Write high-quality, efficient code in Python for AI model development, with a strong focus on OpenAI libraries and frameworks.

Design RAG pipelines that ingest data from structured and unstructured sources

API Integration: Integrate OpenAI models into software applications and systems, ensuring seamless functionality.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to translate project requirements into technical specifications.

Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for OpenAI models, algorithms, and best practices.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Research: Stay updated on the latest developments in OpenAI technology,



best practices, and emerging capabilities.

Proof of Concept: Participate in the development of proof-of-concept projects to explore the feasibility of OpenAI solutions.

Must-Have Skills

GenAI Expertise: 2+ years of experience in building Generative AI applications, including RAG, LLM chaining using Langchain, prompt engineering.

2+ years of experience in developing Python-based backend services, APIs, and orchestrators that manage tool invocation, context handling, and task decomposition.

2+ years of experience in developing goal-oriented autonomous agents capable of planning, decomposing tasks, and invoking tools via APIs and actions.

2+ years of experience in optimizing Azure OpenAI models for enhanced performance and scalability.

2+ years of experience in integrating OpenAI models into software applications using OpenAI APIs.

2+ years of Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio or Power Virtual Agents for chatbot development and orchestration.

2+ years of Knowledge of MCP’s and A2A SDK

2+ years of Build multi-turn conversational flows in Microsoft Copilot Studio, leveraging topics, triggers, adaptive cards, and generative answers

2+ years of exp in creating custom connectors and plugins to integrate with enterprise platforms like Workday, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence

Good to Have

Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI, and prompt engineering best practices

Experience implementing ALM for Power Platform (pipelines, solutions, environment strategy)

Exposure to Azure DevOps or GitHub for CI/CD





Background supporting financial, IT, or operational systems

Microsoft certifications (Power Platform, Azure, AI) a plus
