The Assistant Vice President – Insurance will lead and manage the overall operations, strategy, and compliance of the corporate agency (CA) entity, driving profitable growth across life, general, and health insurance lines. The incumbent will be responsible for partner relationships with insurers, ensuring regulatory compliance under IRDAI norms, and achieving business objectives through multi-channel distribution and customer-centricinitiatives.

Key Responsibilities :Strategic Leadership  Develop and implement the business strategy for the corporate agency across all insurance verticals (Life, General, Health).  Define and execute annual operating plans (AOP), revenue targets, and margin goals.  Identify and onboard new insurer partners, ensuring a balanced product portfolio.  Build scalable distribution models (branch, digital, telesales, Offline etc). Insurance Operations, Regulatory and Compliance  Oversee end-to-end policy issuance, claims coordination, customer services and grievances redressal processes.  Implement modern technology (AI, Agentic AI) driven solutions to improve customer experience and efficiency.  Establish productive processes and ensure adherence to IRDAI and global regulatory standards.  Monitor business performance metrics, operational KPIs and take the corrective actions as required..  Manage risk, audit readiness, internal control processes and compliance frameworks as per IRDAI and corporate governance requirements.  Liaise with insurers and regulators for licensing renewals and compliance audits.



Sales & Business Development  Drive top-line revenue growth across insurance verticals Achieve and exceed sales targets and business objectives Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for insurance products Lead initiatives to increase market share and customer acquisition Identify and capitalize on cross-selling and upselling opportunities Develop and execute strategies to expand the insurance portfolio across Life, Health, and General insurance lines.  Drive business growth through partnerships with brokers, agents, banks, and digital channels.  Lead client acquisition and retention efforts to meet revenue and profitability goals.  Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking to identify growth opportunities.

Technology & Transformation  Collaborate with IT and digital teams to implement solution which enables the multi-channel distribution strategy.  Drive adoption of AI and Agentic AI based solution for managing operational processes and insurance journey.  Implement InsurTech innovations to enhance efficiency, customer experience, and scalability.  Lead system development and migration projects, vendor management,



and manage process automation initiatives.

People Leadership & Strategy  Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across insurance functions.  Partner with senior leadership on long-term strategy and business transformation.  Foster a culture of accountability, customer centricity, and continuous improvement.  Facilitate continuous training and certification for team members as per IRDAI norms.

Requirements : Experience: 15–18 years of progressive experience in the insurance distribution industry, with 5+ years of leadership role within Corporate Agent, Broker or Insurer.  Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Life, Health, and/or General Insurance and IRDAI compliance requirements. Exposure to both traditional and digital channels.  Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build and manage large teams and complex functions.  Technology: Familiarity with insurance core systems, digital tools, and InsurTech solutions.  Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or related discipline.  MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.  Professional certifications (III, LOMA, CPCU, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
