As a Support Specialist at the company, your role will involve supporting GBS managed resources through various audits and assessments such as NIST, SOC, and PCI, in addition to other unnamed audits. Your proactive problem-solving approach and ability to adapt quickly to evolving business requirements and technological advancements will be crucial. You will be expected to demonstrate strong cross-functional collaboration skills, leveraging partnerships to drive efficiency improvements and streamline service delivery. Emphasizing process optimization, documentation, and knowledge sharing will be key to ensuring seamless integration of new technologies and continual improvement of operational standards.Key responsibilities include:- Supporting onboarding of new business units and operational support of existing units to enhance support levels aggressively- Working in partnership with other teams to initiate and coordinate improvements to the companys service platforms across cloud and traditional hosting environmentsQualifications required:- Ability to understand and arbitrate technical impact based on various factors such as usage and performance characteristics of infrastructure components, environment impacts, and benefits and risks associated with changes- Collaborating with Infrastructure, Application, and Business System leaders during different situations- Robust written and verbal reporting skills, with the ability to provide information for different audience levels- Solid experience in a quick-paced Operations/Engineering environmentRequired experience and technical skills:- Proficiency in AWS and Azure Cloud- Knowledge of backup, storage, and networking technologies used in both cloud providers- Experience with ITIL based processes and technical compliance efforts such as SOC1, SOC2, NIST,
and PCIAdditional experience and technical skills:- SoftLayer private cloud experience and knowledge- Experience with monitoring and systems tools such as Opsramp, Rightscale, and Azure Security Center- Working knowledge of core cloud technologies supporting GBS CaaSThe company values a fair and genuine hiring process, hence all candidates are expected to participate in interviews without the assistance of AI tools or external prompts.
