Job Description: A plumber installs, repairs, and maintains pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Key duties include reading blueprints, cutting/welding pipes, installing appliances (water heaters, sinks), diagnosing malfunctions, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. They often work in tight spaces, requiring manual dexterity and customer service skills. Key Responsibilities

- Installation: Installing pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, toilets, sinks, and tubs, as well as heating and gas systems.
- Maintenance & Repair: Repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and repairing or replacing broken fixtures and appliances.
- Inspection & Testing: Inspecting plumbing systems for compliance with safety codes and testing them for functionality.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing issues in plumbing, heating, and water supply systems.
- Site Management: Reading and interpreting blueprints to plan pipe layouts,



and coordinating with other contractors on construction sites.
- Documentation: Keeping records of work performed, materials used, and providing cost estimates. Requirements & Skills

- Education/Certification: A trade school diploma, completed apprenticeship, or relevant vocational training.
- Experience: Previous experience as a plumber (often 2+ years) is usually required.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of hydraulic systems, plumbing codes, and safety regulations.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in tight or uncomfortable spaces.
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, manual dexterity, and strong customer service skills.
- License: A valid driver’s license is often required for service roles.
