Job description:

- Must be able to handle multiple project requirements.
- Proven working experience in mechanical engineering (edible oil industry preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Engineering Drawings and drawing software (AutoCAD)
- Able to read and prepare engineering drawings such as GADs, Layouts, Site Plans, Fabrication drawings, P&IDs;, PFDs, etc
- Performs source inspections (witnessing key tests & inspecting the equipment for acceptable workmanship) for equipment and materials at supplier factories, communicates any deviations and works to resolve deviations to the supplier and the PG&E; Responsible Engineer with Quality Control.
- Performs plant surveys of potential current suppliers by touring the plant, interviewing key staff members, and reviewing documentation (Quality Manual, QA & test procedures, calibration records)
- Performs periodic targeted surveillance inspections at key supplier factories deemed critical by the Supplier Quality staff, such as recent quality problems, changes at the factory since the last surveillance inspection, and known critical processes for the products involved
- Issue Material Problem Reports (MPRs) and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) for assigned suppliers based on group guidelines
- Carry out Shop Inspections and Audits of all Equipment and Materials and complete Inspection Reports
- Preparation of project deliverables such as bought-out items, fabrication items,



piping BOQ, Project BOQ, and other project reports.
- Able to plan and work with multiple team members as per the project timelines and prioritisation.
- Able to prepare equipment specifications and technical comparatives.
- Multi-department coordination and follow-up.
- Visiting for physical inspection of machinery, equipment, and items at various locations, i.e., vendors'/clients' places and sites; preparation of inspection reports and submission to the concerned persons.
- Coordinates inspection schedules for orders at assigned supplier plants and other assigned purchase orders
- Helps mentor Quality Engineers that are new to the Supplier Quality group
- May represent Supplier Quality on PG&E; major equipment teams
- Tracking and timely reporting of project-wise inspections.
- Completion of physical inspection cycle and hydraulic / water tests on the equipment/items, with follow-up with vendors.
