About The Role

This is a newly created, ground-floor leadership position — there is no incumbent and no existing team to inherit. The company needs a leader who owns the end-to-end confidence, quality, and performance of everything the platform ships, across a distributed engineering organization spanning India and Germany.

This is not a hands-on QA or test-execution role. Manual and automated testing is handled by an outsourced QA partner this role governs that relationship and owns the broader delivery, performance, and reliability outcomes — with the business judgment to zoom out beyond individual test cases and the discipline to enforce standards without alienating the team.

What You''ll Do

- Delivery Governance & Accountability: Own end-to-end confidence that whatever the company builds and ships is delivered on time and in quality, from a customer-first perspective. Bring the governance, discipline, and project-management standards that prevent engineering debt.
- Proactive Quality & Reliability Leadership: Shift the organization from reactive bug-fixing to proactive risk detection — find issues before customers do. Define and track SLIs/SLOs for uptime, latency, throughput, and output quality under enterprise workloads, including for non-deterministic AI agent behavior.
- QA Partner Governance: Own the relationship with our outsourced QA/testing agency. Set quality SLAs and incentive structures tied to critical-bug discovery and reporting quality,



and hold the partner accountable for coverage — rather than executing test scripts directly.
- Scoping & Delivery Discipline: Partner with a deliberately autonomous German engineering leadership (task-and-trust, not micromanaged) to bring rigor, best practices, and clarity to scoping before work begins — part solution-architecture, part quality engineering.
- Matrix / Cross-Border Delivery Leadership: Act as the single India-based point of accountability inside a matrix organization, where India engineers report on a dotted line to functional leads in Germany. Bridge business and engineering perspectives across time zones and cultures.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product, Core Engineering, and Customer Success leadership to translate silent AI failures into structural improvements and actionable roadmap input.
- Ground-Floor Team & Process Building: Establish delivery-governance practices, standards, and discipline from scratch as the function''s first hire, scaling it as we grow — building process and governance rather than an in-house test-execution team.

Who You Are

- 8+ years in Quality Engineering, Delivery/Program Management, Performance Engineering, or Site Reliability, including 2+ years leading QA/reliability or delivery strategy in a modern, high-scale SaaS or AI-driven environment — ideally with a background in large-scale technology delivery or consulting (e.g., Accenture-caliber profiles).
- AI-literate: hands-on exposure delivering AI/ML-driven products. A traditional enterprise-software delivery background alone will struggle here.
- Technically fluent in TypeScript, Cypress or Playwright, and CI/CD pipelines — enough to set standards and govern an outsourced QA partner, even though this role isn''t writing test scripts day to day.
- A detective mindset, capable of finding edge cases in non-linear, AI-driven workflows.
- A system-level thinker with a business mindset — you see delivery and quality holistically, not just isolated test cases or features.
- Strong administrative and organizational discipline paired with genuine empathy — you enforce quality, consistency,



and timelines without alienating the team.
- Comfortable working full-time, in-office in Gurgaon — this is not a remote or hybrid role (flexible start/finish times within a standard 9-hour workday are welcome).
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or related field and MBA (preferred)
