Job Title - Lead FPGA Validation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead FPGA Validation Engineer for our client (Microchip) to lead the development and validation of next-generation FPGA-based systems. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of FPGA engineers, planning validation strategies, developing processor-based test environments, and ensuring successful delivery of complex FPGA system projects involving high-speed interfaces and embedded processor subsystems.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead FPGA silicon validation activities for complex FPGA SoC platforms.
- Own complete validation lifecycle from planning to execution.
- Develop FPGA validation architectures and processor-based test cases.
- Manage deliverables of assigned validation projects.
- Mentor and guide junior FPGA engineers.
- Coordinate with hardware, firmware, IP and design teams.
- Develop RTL, embedded firmware and validation software.
- Perform board bring-up and hardware debugging.
- Define timing constraints and achieve timing closure.
- Perform synthesis and implementation using FPGA EDA tools.
- Validate FPGA implementation on hardware platforms.
- Debug complex system-level issues using lab equipment.
- Support silicon characterization and failure analysis.
- Maintain documentation and validation reports.
