Utility TechnicianJob Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Utility Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot utility equipment to ensure uninterrupted production operations. The ideal candidate should have experience in maintaining industrial utility systems such as air compressors, oxygen plants, nitrogen plants, pumps, cooling towers, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain air compressors, oxygen generation plants, nitrogen generation plants, and compressed air systems.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of utility equipment.
- Monitor and maintain cooling towers, pumps, water circulation systems, and piping networks.
- Inspect utility equipment regularly and record operating parameters.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure proper operation of valves, pressure vessels, filters, dryers, and associated accessories.
- Monitor utility consumption and identify opportunities for energy savings.
- Maintain logbooks, maintenance records, and daily checklists.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure continuous utility availability.
- Follow safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and statutory compliance requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the utility area.




- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of utility equipment when required.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of industrial compressors, oxygen plants, nitrogen plants, pumps, cooling towers, and utility systems.
- Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read P&ID; drawings, utility layouts, and equipment manuals.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, bearings, seals, couplings, valves, and piping.
- Basic knowledge of electrical controls, motors, MCC panels, and instrumentation is preferred.
- Valuable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards, PPE, and permit-to-work systems.

Qualifications

- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical trade.
- 2–6 years of experience in utility maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

- Air Compressors (Atlas Copco, ELGi, Ingersoll Rand, Kaeser, etc.)
- Oxygen Generation Plants (PSA)
- Nitrogen Generation Plants
- Cooling Towers
- Centrifugal and Vertical Pumps

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
