Description

As the Deputy General Manager- Legal, your primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive legal support and advice across various business functions, including project development, EPC execution, and commercial contracting. You will work closely with other departments to ensure legal compliance, manage risks, and facilitate the company's growth and expansion.

Responsibilities

- Offer strategic legal counsel and support to the company's leadership team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on project development, EPC contracts, and commercial transactions.
- Manage and oversee a team of legal professionals, delegating tasks and providing mentorship.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and regulatory frameworks, including international business expansion.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks, developing strategies to minimize potential liabilities.
- Handle and resolve legal disputes, representing the company's interests in negotiations and litigation.
- Stay updated with legal and industry trends,



conducting research and providing insights to the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal support and ensure smooth business operations.

Qualifications

- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a legal role, with a focus on corporate and commercial law.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in project development, EPC contracts, and international business transactions is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical legal solutions.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a legal team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build robust relationships.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
