Job Title:

Laboratory Assistant – Electrical Engineering Department

Job Summary:

The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for assisting faculty members in conducting practical classes, maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring laboratory safety, and supporting students during laboratory sessions. The role also includes maintaining records, preparing laboratory setups, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all Electrical Engineering laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials before each practical session.
- Assist faculty members during laboratory classes and practical examinations.
- Demonstrate the safe operation of laboratory equipment to students.
- Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance of transformers, motors, generators, control panels, circuit breakers, and electrical machines.
- Maintain laboratory attendance registers, stock registers, logbooks,



and equipment issue records.
- Support project work, research activities, and technical demonstrations.

Qualification:

- Diploma/ITI/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in an educational institution is preferred.

Skills Required:

- Knowledge of electrical machines, transformers, motors, control panels, wiring, and measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and laboratory practices.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office and record maintenance.
- Valuable communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work efficiently in a laboratory environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
